Even if there’s a specific album or project that I’m suppose to perform live, I end up leaving 90% up to chance through improvisation. It’s definitely nerve-wracking before you start, but the feeling after is something I still can’t describe with words. This wisdom from Sonny Rollins is usually what I’m thinking before the show.

“I want to be connecting with the subconscious, if I can call it that, because there are not to many words to describe the real deep inner part of a human being. I want to be at that place where everything is blotted out and where creativity happens, and to get there I practice, you know I'm a prolific practicer, I still practice every day. You have to have the skills, then you want to not think when you're playing, that's when you let whatever deep level of creativity, spirituality, I mean, you know these words are so inadequate these days but you want to get to this place where they exist.” - Sonny Rollins

Truly a weird one. Especially the first five minutes of the original work/excerpt have to be one of the most amazing minimalist adventures I have had in recent music. The atmosphere of the cover photo is 1:1 translated into audio material. Cold and clear air mixing with drops of condense water in a concrete monument. A simply amazing experience. Dennis Albrecht
